Something’s in the Air

Posted by Emory on March 30, 2008

Ok, old news but seeing it live makes me stunned how Apple are able to make the worlds thinnest notebook.

Macbook Air

This is Macbook Air, the worlds thinnest notebook. Portrayed in this ad here…

Somehow it really can be fitted in a manila envelope. I donno how big but seeing it in person really makes it look like the thinnest in hell.

Thin can...

Damn thin. One thing I noticed is that the trackpad is bigger just for the sake of multitouch. When I entered the hard disk, everything was LARGE… I had to zoom out by pinching the trackpad… Cool in a way but, there not much power shown on the Air, just thin…

The Air costs like almost 6.3k. You can have a look at a demo unit at Machines in Lot 10.

But what about it’s older siblings… And I do mean old…

iBook

This Japan-2nd-hand-old-ibook is for sale only at RM800+.

Now for another ad…

(Wahahahahahahahahaaa…)

A cool game like animation that is a MUST watch for everyone*.

(* everyone by the meaning of those who are able to watch comical violence and gore, + mild nudity, + loud techno synth music, + flashing animation (like Pikachu shocks in Japan), + deformed body parts, + other things that are rated PG13, There is no rude language so…)

Link to FULL version: PaulRobertson Lifejournal

Not pirated… It’s official from the creator himself.

It’s really funny to watch and the storyline is a bit… Like Heroes, all the characters came out to face the chaos and mini bosses and then they gather around to face the final boss. There are a lot of game-anime-IRL parodies in the movie. Here are the following to note for by those non-gamers out there. And for those gamers, you’ll think it’s funny.

Metal Slug animation sequence
Powerpuff Girls alikes
Maple story hack slash
Otakus
Ragnarok Porings
Castlevania title
Streetfighter fighting skills
FlightShooter games
KOF style Supers
Akira/KOF K9999
RPG revives
cameos:
Pokemon
Ultraman
LOLcat/Longcat
Phoenix Wright
Sadam Hussien
Bomberman
Terry Bogard
Pepsiman
God of Cookery - Stephen Chow
Godzilla
Megaman

Some of the characters appear in brief moments. You need to rewatch then again and again to see clearly.

The while animation is just cool. The odd thing is… The ending has a very odd twist. VERY ODD… and pretty much gore itself.

But overall, COOL ANIMATION!
*must have this in any Ipod touch or PSP for entertainment fun…

Updated Room… *Still-late-update*

Posted by Emory on March 25, 2008

Ok, this is my updated room. Not messy anymore, well, you can still see the mess but not that much. Here it is! 4 angles of it.

Bed facing window

The bed is being relocated there.

Fan other corner

The fan is extended to the other end.

Empty corner

Nothing here but the door to the washroom… and my luggage is being placed there. (Spot the new carpet?)

Table and door

My work desk is placed there. Mostly the door is opened.

Washroom

Ok ok… Toilet toilet…

Living room

We actually hang our towels and socks there because the sun only shines from there.

Living room to kitchen

Thai is actually there chopping onions. That’s the kitchen.

Kitchen

Here’s the kitchen. Nice and neat, not too big or too small.

Laundry room/storage room

I don’t know what are we going to do with this place. We mostly hang our other clothes here… It dries slow but it gets the job done. And all the empty boxes we put there.

That ends the introduction to my place.

NEXT UPDATE: What I’m doing the past one and a half month. What else?! Zheng zheng zheng…

IKEA - Place of big Legos…

Posted by Emory on March 25, 2008

When I was young, my grandma use to buy toys for me and my brothers. She usually buy Lego for us to build things. We sometimes do follow instruction on building the Lego. When we are tired of it, we dissemble it and build something else. I don’t know if that stimulated my creative thinking and made me into the art industry, I’m not sure. But I have to thank my grandma for it.

Ikea Malaysia Damansara

Talking about Ikea, I wondered what so good about it. Ikea produce low price quality furnitures that look nice and durable for a certain time. When I went there, which is a long distance from where I live, I was stunned by the whole store. Top level is the showrooms, where there are arrows on the floor to guide you where you should go. It’s more like a one way traffic. One section to another.

Shopping for furniture there is nice. But it’s hard to find those cheaper things. Maybe due to having them being sold out.

I shopped there for 1 chair, 1 table, 1 spring bed, 1 pillow, 1 pillow case, 1 quilt cover, 1 quilt and 1 quilt cover… All within Rm500 inclusive of delivery.

Why I get another quilt cover? It’s for the bed… to cover it… Since I can’t find the bed sheet. When the things are delivered to me, I took them in… and I remembered something from my past.

Lego parts

They all look like Lego, waiting for me to assemble to something.

INSTRUCTIONS!!

There are instructions inside!!! JUST LIKE LEGO!!! but bigger…

Graphical instructions

Really like how Lego instructions are. All pictures, less words.

...

Ok, more sophisticated Lego parts…

Flarke Table

Voila! Flarke Computer Table!

Next up!

Chair

The chair which I forgot the name… They all look like Lego parts.

Instructions

The detailed instructions again.

FIN!

Finally!! My own swivel chair!! WhooOOOOooooOOOOoo!!!

Lastly,

cardboard box

What I use to sleep on… but now…

Proper bed

A PROPER BEDDDDDD!!!!

Dang, I had to go send my bed sheet, quilt cover and pillowcase to the laundry…
