My Universal knowledge and ideas towards things that I see in life whether in Living, Dead and Matter. Life for a living thing is unique yet ironic. One mostly do not get what they wanted but with hope and determination, everything will fuse into one thing for a purpose.
I really need to find a way to get online more… It’s killing me only to draw and listen to the radio for most of the time…
But, it’s kinda nice to hear some old songs which I thought it was new.
Lenny Kravitz - It Ain’t Over Till It’s Over
(Ignore Lenny’s old looks… Listen to the song is enough…)
I get to concerntrate on my work and do minor groovy moves on my desk…
And yeah, The comic is not Over till I’m over with it. MUMUMUST FINISH 2 SETS!!! I’m doing 4th inking and 5th sketching and inking today. Hopefully I can do it on time. 6th page tomorrow with new set page 1.
I’ll get my first paycheck next week! Groovy Baby!!!! (But not enough to chia ppl yet… darn… Need to work hard more!)
(late updates few days later: Pikom PC fair in KL)
I GOT ACCEPTED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WHOOOOOOOOOOHOOOOOO!!!!
Finally, I got my 4th comic accepted by the publisher!!! Thanks to the editor for giving me guidance!! Wuuu~~~ I so touched… I’m so happy also!!
WAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAH!!!…
*this will be a crazy happy silly dizzy post*
Ok… what is wrong with me? Because this is my dream job. My path that I’ve chosen for myself. I want to become a cartoonist ever since SPM was over. But I gave myself time to learn a bit more… tend to be the fact that those 2 years, I didn’t draw much either…
=_________=…
But away from that, now that I’ve committed myself to drawing comics. I’ve came here to KL on the 14th Feb. Starting off with a normal love story about 2 persons who loved eating fried noodles. But got separated because of a little misunderstanding. Then a food judge came and tasted their fried noodles. (they both became chefs and own their stalls just opposite each other). Then the misunderstood was cleared. The comic was rejected due to my drawing is too… SIMPLE. I admit… it is too simple. But the editor was advising me to do more research and taught me a thing or two.
Then the next week, I came with a new story about a robber trying to rob a girl. But when he was taking action, the girl defended herself with many ways and with many ‘odd’ methods by warding off the enemy. Finally the robber could not stand any more torture and was sent to the cell. Then by overhearing the conversation of the police with the girl’s mother, she was senile… This story was meant to be humorous. The editor liked some improvements I’ve made but that was not enough for him. It still lacks depth and solidness of my characters. The facial expressions are the same and focus too much on the face. It was rejected though…
The third one, I tried to make a fantasy one this time. About a princess being escorted to another place with her bodyguard, but was attacked by some odd-random-bad-guys-in-black-suits. That was instantly commented by the editor… *back to story* The bodyguard was caught off guard by the princess being held hostile and got killed. The princess then finally showed her true skill and blasted away all the random-bad-guys-in-black-suits. Then with her bodyguard dead, she had to give half of her live to save him back. Because he was the one who made her happy all the time. The rejection was due to ’some’ errors. The editor asked me to use cut and paste but I refused to do it because of if it was a failure, I get to keep it and improve at the other.
This 4th one was my best effort placed in it… But before that, I went to a treasure hunt. We finished first, but was given 2nd place because of some mistakes. (WE DIDN”T MADE THE MISTAKE!!! IT WAS THEM!!!) But still, it made me exercise. Then back at home, I was facing cartoonist’s block. I could not think of what to draw. Then after a few days… Then the creativity kicked back after reading Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicles. This 4th story is about a magician and an apprentice going to save a trapped innocent soul in a mansion. Through the mansion, there are evil eyed’ spirits haunting the house. Their duty is to save the trapped soul and by following protocol, eliminating the evil ones.
This time the editor accepted it because I’ve put my best effort on it. And to the last few days before submitting, I suddenly had a rush of positive energy flowing in me. I was so carefree and happy. Then I had chats with my friend, she say I flow a lot of positive energy. Maybe because of this, I get through and I did my best. Learning the tips and tricks from the editor. In the end, I got accepted when I showed it to the editor.
Heh heh… Guess another friend of mine was wishing me luck too. Because he gets something out of it if I got accepted. I guess he likes to bet a lot. I guess he will be getting his wish after all!
Ok, you can breathe now…
*Sorry for no posting pics… I’ll try scan my rejected ones and post them online if I could. Need to find a scanner here…
Ok, I have a housemate that is purely Chinese Vegetarian. I like Vegetarian food because they are nice and healthy. It’s like a new type of food that I haven’t truly enjoyed much in the past… Because only on Chinese New Years I can enjoy the Vegetarian food, mostly on the first day.
My grandmother now is a vegetarian and I’m an occasional vegetarian. A lot of people say that vegetarian food that deals with veat is mostly made of flour… If you clicked on that link just now, you will learn something out from vegetarians. They don’t eat flour for a living… Alternatively, they also eat vegetables.
I’ve came across to 2 blogs dealing with Vegetarian foods. One is for introducing and simple recipes and the other for introducing places serving vegetarian food in Singapore (My housemate weeping seeing all the good food in Singapore)
Ok, here are the 2 blogs:
Dinner Lately
Dinner Lately is a blog that shows how simple vegetarian foods can be made. Ok, it’s not step by step material but it gives me the ‘basic’ knowledge on preparing simple meals at home without using ANY onions or garlics… (I hate garlic…)
*Sidenote: Chinese Vegetarians do not eat onion or garlic
Veggie-Bun
Veggie-Bun is a blog about a person’s trail to find nice vegetarian food in Singapore. Damn… Looks so nice ok? (Ok, I found out in this blog, the author does consume garlic… I just donno why. Maybe the author is not the Chinese type Vegetarian) But check out the Sushi post!!! OMG!!! Fine cut cucumber! CORN SUSHI!!!!
*Note: Both blogs tend to use quote marks to tell you that the “meat” told in the blog are not the actual meat in particular. It’s vegetarian. Unless no quote then you can suspect anything.
It’s been like a month now at KL. We eat home sometimes. My vegetarian housemate likes to cook tomato dish till I got addicted to it. The rest of the veggie is mostly just simply stir frying. I need more recipes so make more variety… Or else addiction to tomato will be very very scary for me.
Still need to do page 4… Every page is taking more time for me to do. Seeing the comic editor this Friday!! If I made the appointment on that day.
