My Universal knowledge and ideas towards things that I see in life whether in Living, Dead and Matter. Life for a living thing is unique yet ironic. One mostly do not get what they wanted but with hope and determination, everything will fuse into one thing for a purpose.
Just as I was scrolling my list of MSN contacts, I came across a person’s blog which I never knew how he ended in my Contact list. But I was curious, thinking it may filled with self-camwhore-portraits. Instead I found a blog by a fan of Korean music. In the blog, a Youtube clip caught my attention and I without any hesitation, clicked on that music video.
Somehow I liked the song.
?? Wheesung - Insomnia
Well, the song is nice… but it was not an original song by him. The original version is by a black guy who likes to ask “What’s Your Flava” to “Fill Me In” in “7 Days” so by the time you see him “Walking Away”, you will know his “Rise and Fall”.
Back with a different look from the last time I saw him…
Craig David - Insomnia
Craig really changed a lot. And this song, produced by Timbaland Productions is good music! I now start to think that all Timbaland Productions are real real good quality dance music!
Anyways, recently I’ve been sick. I had a visit from the dance fever-land. It’s good to be well again. I had to postpone my appointment with my editor to last Wednesday to hand up my work. and I had to pick up the slack I made… FINISHING 4 PAGES WITHIN 24 HOURS!!! That was the record of the year and I didn’t have enough sleep to begin with!!
Sometimes these rushing experiences really give some thought for myself. How I can organize my time to finish 4 pages in one day! At least now I know I can do 1 page within 6 hours of my time. I think I’ll start do 2 pages per day. But with having the weekends off for brainstorming and drafting. I also have conversation with my editor lately on my future as a freelance mangaka there in the company. The editor wants me to go another level this year (So do I). I hope the last few comics I complete will end my Fairy Tales chapter and start with a new story with ultra strong fresh mint characters! I won’t spill anything just yet. But I hope by May, I can start this Project ‘O’ which is going to be a mainstream humor ultra super duper kawaii killarz comic!!!!111oneoneone…
Last last Saturday was a day that I could not forget. What seems to be a good day but it turned out to be a total disaster. Here are some before after pictures to prove my point.
What is now…
What was that day…
Another angle on it to see how this is “why so serious”.
See if you can spot where the drain leads to. That black little hole at the end is where it goes…
Either our place is easily flooded or tsunami just hit us here in KL…
=____=… Good thing I live uphill…
Great news! (Or on the contrary) There is another new Harry Potter book! It’s an official book and I just spotted it in Ikano’s Popular Bookstore!
See the thing on my hand! It’s not entitled “Harry Potter and the Balance of Earth” from Futurama… Neither it is written by J. K. Rowling.
Somehow, people just want to have a piece of the delicious cake which the Harry Potter brand name is worth. I wonder if they are even ALLOWED to use the name Harry Potter in front of their book and design it to look like that. Bloodsuckers…
Just yesterday, me and a group of my friends went to The Gardens at Mid Valley. I just don’t understand why they wanted to go eat at a place that you will absolutely know it is damn pricey, high classed, and yet somehow having that gut feeling that its not really worth it?
More like flying money…
This Thai food restaurant is ABSOLUTELY ridiculous! Somehow they know how to make dishes but not single serving personal dish! And the simple drinks are overpriced and overrated…
Basically Soda without the sweet taste and Pandan cooked in sugar water
I should have ordered Soda… RM5 for the Tonic and RM9 for the Pandan drink…
Fried Rice with Prawn
This dish made my friend unhappy with the service. My friend could not eat meat on that day, but seafood is fine. He asked the waiter to NOT serve chicken to him but add more prawns or something like that. But ended up disappointed and angry. Dish price: RM15.50
Pineapple Fried Rice
This one looked nice. Some of my friends are satisfied with this dish. RM16.50
Steamed Rice with Hot Basil Chicken and Sunny Side
Somehow this being priced at RM15.50 is more or so of another ripoff… The taste is not so great. I had to put the chili powder on it so that it is hot enough to make me sweat as if I’m in a sauna. It felt like I can cook that dish and sell it at RM5.
Some things on the menu when spoken sounded funny in a way. For example, Stewed Beef Noodle, which my friend said tasted like beef cooked in black soy sweet sauce and then placed on top of the noodle, may sound funny when read quickly. Stupid Noodle.
And another noodle which we don’t really understand…
Phad Thai Noodle…
Part Time Noodle? WTF?!
Unless you are having a strong stomach on coconut milk and hot spicy food, not to mention their dish like tomyam soup (very nice!) This restaurant is nice to go. But avoid all weird name single dishes.
I don’t like coconut milk… I had to go to the toilet 2 times the next morning.
Lately I’ve been watching America’s Best Dance Crew season 3 online. I don’t have TV here but the internet helps much in a cool show like this available online for us to watch!
Beat Freaks - Week 5 - Magic Week
This is the best girl group in the whole show. The way they dance really makes me want to move! I saw that in Gizmodo and I searched online to find a way to watch this show online. Then I came across the main site in MTV. Which features full episodes streaming in 3 different qualities! (If your internet speed is fast enough then go for quality.) Here’s the video episodes page. ABDC Episodes
The whole ABDC Season 3 was being conquered by another team, The Quest Crew. Who battled out with Beat Freaks to the final 2. It’s sad to watch Beat Freaks ended up in second place. They dance very smooth but Quest Crew uses their full creativity to put on a show. But I still like Beat Freaks!
Oh, I liked the music when Beat Freaks are performing their Magic Act Week, which is called Freeze by T-Pain featuring Stupid bad ass Rhianna hitting bastard Chris Brown.
Back at Kuching, I went to see the new family member. My cousin Ethan is too cute to hold! He’s very picky on who holds on to him. He mostly likes to be hold by my grandma. Good thing I’m in his list…
This is him during Chinese New Year… His expression is too natural… Too natural that I feel so happy (and funny) in a sense that he can pose like that for CNY! And he’s not even 1 years old YET!!!
We get to make him do that when my uncle say “Gong Xi Gong Xi” (usually coupled with the hand gesture when saying that). All he had to do is hold his hand together and placing his hands at his mouth and put it down, repeating the process a couple of times and make everyone happy seeing it.
Damn clever…
Too damn cute too!!
My uncle likes to take photo of Ethan and practice his photoshop skills or else since when I have a Twin Cousin? Or maybe they cloned Ethan…
Sometimes, I just wonder from where he makes those faces for… The “bueeakk” face? The SAD LITTLE PUPPY EYE FACE?!?!
During my 3 month holiday in Kuching, I spent my time playing a game that was so great in the Gameboy Advance platform that made me wanted to play more. The Castlevania series has been a great hit to its 2D scrolling fans. And despite their reuse and reuse and total reuse of old enemies, it never gets tired slaying Count Dracula again and again and again… (and again…)
Let’s start off with the first DS Castlevania game after the last installment for the Gameboy series.
Castlevania Dawn of Sorrow
This is actually the sequal to Aria of Sorrow in the Gameboy version of the series. It includes our hero, Soma Cruz, the heir of Dracula to stop turning himself to the evil side. The story revolves a group of people who wants Dracula’s powers out from Soma. But it is up to Soma to stop them before anything terrible could happen to him.
In the game, there are Magic Seals you need to perform in order to finish off the bosses. The only way to do this is to draw points on the circular area at the touchscreen. Fail to do so will add a bit more health for the boss. The Magic Seal is a must to do when finishing a boss.
The gameplay is decent, like any other Castlevania in the old series, Soma is on a journey himself in a area where he needs to uncover truths of the powers he have. And why people will kill to get them.
Soma’s weapons are separate from his powers. He can use normal weapons like an axe and still use his magical powers.
As for the menu screen, it’s quite packed and I hoped ‘Equip’ menu is designed a little better. The seal is responsive; you need to make sure you are quick enough to draw the seal, as the time ticks when your stylus touches the screen. It seems like not much from the Gameboy version but it’s nice to see Soma again.
There are multiple story endings in this. Watch all to unlock certain modes.

Castlevania Portrait of Ruin
Maybe the title should be Portal of Ruin… In this game, you play as Jonathan Morris and Charlotte Aulin. The main character you control is Jonathan though. You can switch and use Charlotte if you got bored with the whip guy. They travel around Dracula’s Lair to stop Dracula from coming out again. But what they found is more or less to the same thing. This little tag team concept is fresh and there are more places to travel in the story and not just being in a castle only which is a nice touch to the game itself.
You can control Jonathan or Charlotte in the game, switch anytime and team up to overcome obstacles.
Jonathan is a weapon user while Charlotte is a magic user. Both have their advantages and disadvantages. But they can make a pretty good team when 2 characters are playing alongside each other. Yes, you can summon out the other to help kill enemies at a cost where his/her live uses the MP bar.
Then there are what the game calls, Portraits, which are actually portals to another world from the castle. This is a nice breakthrough from the single dungeon style Castlevania always maintain. It’s nice to see other worlds around.
You can go back too… As simple as that.
The menu changed it’s style where you can equip both characters with their respective weapons, clothing, spells and their ultimate move, Dual Crush.
You can talk with each other by getting hints in the game itself.
Dual Crushes in action! The first one and the most powerful one in the game, Greatest Five, which features 5 previous Castlevania Belmonts,
Then there is Grand Cruz with the Crosses and Dark Gate with the horrific face.
There is Holy Lightning and 1000 Blades too!
Actually Jonathan is a bit lazy. He only throws 50 knives…
I know that because it takes only 1 complete throw of the skill to kill this Final Guard.
There are also alternate endings for this story. Both depend on your understanding of usage on spells and when to use them on bosses. The final boss fight is tough, dodging their attacks and trying to hit the other really takes a lot of time. But overall gameplay, the tag team play is worth it. Sometimes the other half is kinda of hunt and kill. Some quick hand movement can help keep the partner stay put or calls him/her away.
There are a lot of unlockable modes too…

Castlevania Order of Ecclesia
All I can say is… Castlevania never looked this good in my life. This game can be crowned the best of all Castlevania series. You play as Shanoa, a female character to be the human vessel for Dominus, glyphs that consists of 3 parts when combined, become the most powerful weapon in the game! (With a cost)
Other than Shanoa, there is another character in the game which Shanoa will always encounter, Albus. He is up to no good by stealing the Dominus glyphs and trying to obtain what he wants. Although saying it now will spoil the game anyway.
Barlowe is the old guy who wants the Dominus inside Shanoa instead of Albus. This decision made Albus mad… really mad… But he still have to do it to gain something in return.
Shanoa’s weapons are not whips and magic… They are a combination of summoning weapons from Glyphs collected in the game. The Glyphs range from weapon shaped to elemental powers. Some can be combined to release a powerful strike!
Yes, there is the conventional Dracula inside as the main anagonist anyways…
This is gameplay. Shanoa seems pretty normal here but notice that when attacking, weapons formed for her to use for attacks. Pressing one attack button unleashes the left hand, while the other attack button can make an attack with the right hand too!
Just imagine pressing X Y X Y X Y X Y X Y…. Left Right Left Right Left Right..
There is also a powerful attack, which is the Glyph Union. This is where both powers combined together to make a bigger powerful attack.
There are some points where different weapon Glyphs can make another different Glyph Union attack. But I didn’t try it so…
There are other Glyphs that are red in colour. These Glyphs give you special powers to change attributes and platform moving skills like flying, running fast (with a minimal force field and damage), increase strength, luck, and even money!!!
You gain Glyphs by killing enemies, some Glyphs are placed at areas which you need to explore to get them. And they are needed to complete the game and find hidden areas.
When you see a Glyph, press the UP button to start absorbing a Glyph to Shanoa’s back. When the Glyph is absorbed, you can use the Glyph! Even if you already have the Glyph, obsorbing it will give you hearts also! So no more heart picking from candles!
This game is not the traditional travel in the castle anymore. You are actually in a region where you need to explore places to get to the Castle. Each region has a different map layout (unlike Portraits of Ruin where the map is reused twice in the game).
There are also other side quests that you can complete. The villagers in Wygol village needs Shanoa’s help in things like searching for Silk Threads or Gold Ores. Although optional, they offer things from money to items sold in the shop.
The menu system has changed and looks more polished than Dawn of Sorrow and Portraits of Ruin. Nice colour matching in the menu too!!
The game maps are very nice. And in some point, where a map has 2 entry points, you can start the game from either end of the yellow spots.
The game surroundings are at their best and the background and foreground looks damn nice! Even Dracula can’t believe it himself… He apparently choked to death in the game…
Yes, I can say I am a Castlevania fan. And at least their platforming game didn’t suck as much as their fighting version.
Oh! If any new people wants to play this version? I suggest getting the previous ones too… because this version is the toughest to play… Trust me… It is…

I’m so happy this game still up to its standards. I’m very satisfied playing it!!
